About RBI

History

The River Bible Institute of Istanbul was founded in January 2000 as an affiliate of The River Bible Institute and Life Christian University both based out of Tampa, Florida. RBI offers a two year diploma program in Theology.

RBI of Istanbul has graduated over 70 students in its 8 year history. More than 100 people of several nationalities have enrolled at the school and received instruction over the years. RBI of Istanbul is the largest full-time Bible training center in the nation of Turkey. RBI classes are conducted in Turkish and English.

In 2005, the Lord led us to move from a strictly curriculum based program to a more flexible Spirit-led program. RBI of Istanbul is now referred to as a School of the Spirit. We combine elements of teaching the Word of God with revival services, worship and prayer times. We believe that the most effective and balanced way to raise up people is to not only teach the Word of God, but also make time for students to stay under the presence of God. We focus on character development and impartation of the Word of God and the Anointing.

Vision

The vision of the River Bible Institute in Istanbul is “to train revivalists for the 21st century.” We offer a special training program to prepare men and women for the ministry. The greatest need in the body of Christ in this day is men and women of God who are carriers of the Anointing of God. We focus on training people for the practical work of the ministry. We offer hands on training in the ministry as well as instruction in the Word of God.

Instruction is given through live classroom instruction and video instruction. Application part of the training includes hands on voluntary ministry at The River at Istanbul and various outreaches of the ministry. Other training includes personal discipleship and instruction.

Purpose

  1. Preparation for the ministry
  2. Equipping the Body of Christ
